Well, it's Holiday time. Got to do some traveling. Heading for Seattle tomorrow for a couple weeks to spend some time with my son. See ya'll next year if I don't get time to check in while I'm there. I hung a new stand where the big 10 pointer is coming out that I saw Monday. Emailed and called my hunting buddy with all the appropriate info on where it is, what to watch for and wished him good luck getting him. If he gets him I won't have to worry about it when I get back and I can shoot a doe for that deer I need. I let a nice one walk Wednesday waiting on the big guy but got buggered by a combine and a walker. I hadn't hunted there all season and as soon as I figure it out(MONDAY) and put up a stand(Wednesday) and hunt it(Wed) the farmer decides it's time to combine the soybeans he left out all winter and through the snow. WELL, Len will get him. He's a really nice deer.


On top of that... I got "Hunter Harrassed" by an ANTI that lives near the place. He gave me some guff at the road while I was packing up my stand to carry in at high noon. He came back into the field several hundred yards off the road about 4:00. You could tell he was looking for me but couldn't find me. I was 2 trees off the field. I had hung the stand right on top of a big snarl of "Wait-a-minute" vines covered with fallen oak leaves so I really blended in with my Advantage. I got ripped to shreds parting the vines to install a stick ladder. He came within 80 yards and was really searching. Then the combine showed up and he left. Come to find out he harassed two other guys in there this year. They were reporting him to DNR yesterday. People!!!! Go figure.

So, Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year and all that stuff to the cyber family. If I don't get to check in before I leave..... play nice and don't have too happy a New Year.

Len doesn't need any help except with the draggin'. He's a killin' fool.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> I just made a final run to the dump so our garbage wouldn't stink for two weeks. While I was out that way I went to the new stand and did a little touching up to make it right. It had a squeek and a couple small limbs in the way. He's going to hunt it tonight. Wind will be perfect. I advised him to hold out for Macho Buck... we'll see what happens.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> He hasn't stuck one in a week or two.... he must be getting antsy.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
