Ever have one of "those" days?
I meana daywhere you go out and feel like you couldn't hit a house? I don't know what the deal was tonight, but it was horrible. Last night I was breaking golf tees at 20 yards and tonight I could barely keep it in a 2 inch circle at 25. YIKES!!!!
The only thing that I can think of is that I did a pretty heavy upper body workout last night after shooting and maybe I was tired today, but I generally do that each week. I sure hope this isn't a continuing trend... |
RE: Ever have one of "those" days?
Does every day count? :D;)
I have days like that too, especially if I try shooting after I run. I'm always off a bit if I shoot after a run, even a couple hours later. |
RE: Ever have one of "those" days?
If you weren't "off" with your shooting after a workout......
.....then you didn't work out hard enough :). I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds completely normal, to me. |
RE: Ever have one of "those" days?
YEAH I HAVE THOSE DAYS

RE: Ever have one of "those" days?
I think you answered yourself there. I played in a golf tournamnet once thatwas the day after I played a tough soccer match, and the fatigue mesed with my body and my concentration. It's good for bow though since it can replicate some of th e'presure' we feel whne that big daddy comes along. Turn up the concentration level a bit, and make it an exercise to benefit you.

RE: Ever have one of "those" days?
When your off, quit so you don't develope bad habits. Just blow that day off and hit it another day when your fresh.....

RE: Ever have one of "those" days?
You "could barely keep it inside a 2" circle"? As in 2" in diameter group?Wouldn't thatbe in the 10-ring of a 3D target? The outdoor games professional competitions have bigger targets at 25 yards (I think they are 2.5" diameter and they might even be 3.5" diameter). Are you sure that is a bad day? That is keeping arrows inside the top of a pop can every time.
I think a 2" diameter group is pretty good. But I guess that means I am a terrible shot.I don't know. |
RE: Ever have one of "those" days?
I have got to agree with huntingson, even if that is a "bad" day of shooting for you, in a hunting situation, that is a dead animal. Thats all that matter to me.

RE: Ever have one of "those" days?
Welcome to the club. it happens to all of us Dustin. The other night I had a great round of shooting. 3" Groups at 50yds. I could not miss. But the next round was not near as good. I still shot well but not as good. I always make a point to end my shooting on a good note though. It helps you carry over that confidence until the next time you shoot.

And(if I'm not terribly mistaken)the x-ring on a vegas face target is about the size of a dime... |
