If it was a mature buck and was legal i wouldnt have a problem with taking it. I would feel bad about hurting the study, but would definately contact them after harvesting the animal

That's great, if it was a nice buck, I would also have to include that ugly contraption on my mount. Would make a good story, but the owners would probably want it back. My brother got his banded mallard mounted, so I could put my collared deer right next to it.

id treat it the same as a buck without a collar, if its big enough for me to shoot it, then id shoot it regarless of collar.
