Vanes???

I am trying to decide whether I should spend the extra $20 and get blazer vanes or the regular 4 in. Are blazers really that much better.Im pulling 48 lbs. shooting through a whisker bisquit.

Thanks

through a bisquit id say they are a must. i hear they are the best fletching to shoot through a bisquit...tough and durable. wont wave and get all funky from the bisquit. i dont shoot a bisquit but my buddy does...his 5" vanes are as wavy as the Atlantic...

i shoot blazers. ive passed the same arrow through my bag target multiple times plus many others..passed many though a hard foam broadhead target. passed them through hay bales. out of all that i got ONE tinyyy rip. guess what? that arrow shoots as true as it always has...no waves, no wrinkles, no funkiness period...still straight and lookin good! oh...well minus 1. sliced 3/4 of it off with a broadhead...a good 2000+ shots with them or so...

Yes, ESPECIALLY through the whisker buscuit.

Yup, look at Dan's (WashingtonHunter's) post about new vanes. He had some pretty snazzy color coordinated ones [8D]. His arent blazers, but they are shield cut, from what he says they preform the same.

Another quick question I read that if you put a dab of glue at the front of the flethching it will help it not tear? I dont want to wreck my expensive arrows.

Thanks

RE: Vanes???

Correct. Put a small drop on the leading and far edge. It will protect during a pass through.

1 bummer about the Blazer vanes is I let my arrow sit out in the sun for about 2 hours and the orange color turned to a sh!t pink! [:'(]

They help soooo much its unbelieveable and they are a lot less of a pain.

They are a lot better through a biscuit than 4 or 5 inch vanes.
