Productive afternoon.
 

Well last night my hunting partner and i went and put in our first 2 food plots. After talking to the Whitetail Institute, they recommended putting in No-Plow and Extreme. We did a plot of each. I also put in 2 mineral licks using there 30-06 mineral and have my trail camera up over one of them. Im pretty happy about it and keeping my fingers crossed that they come up well. The good news is we are supposed to get some rain tonight and tomorrow so that can only help. Keep your fingers crossed for me guys, im excited.

On an interesting note, while putting the second plot in, my buddy was on the quad, and i was raking, sweating up a storm and making noise, i turn around and about 80 yards away a small buck with little nobs was feeding directly down wind of us. Its amazing how they know its not hunting season and dont have a care in the world around here.

Thats cool, i just put up 3 mineral licks with deer-cain, there just little ones and ill probably refill the ones that get some good action.
