Rocky mountain Titanium 100
 

I could only go back 30 days on the search form, so I don't know if 5Shot has done a test on these heads. It wasn't listed with the others on the "american-hunter" page. I am curious as to how well titanium stands up to his test punishment. Are the blades titanium or just the ferrule/tip? I would like to give them a chance if they perform well. Anybody have experience with these heads?

It is just the ferrule and tip (they are all machined from one piece which is a plus) that are titanium. Although I am not a big fan of locking collars to keep the blades in place I would certainly rate this head as a quality one. They are tough, fly great, and come very sharp. Unless something unusual happens the ferrule and tip can be used over and over and buying replacement blades isn't difficult. I have taken deer with them albeit in the 125 grain offering but it isn't really any different than its 100 grain brother.

They are a good head and will perform well with the best the market has to offer. :)

Thanks, Antler Eater. That's what I was hoping to hear. I guess it would be darn near impossible to sharpen titanium for blades and replacements would be $$$. I might give them a try.

Antler pretty well summed it up. The Rocky Titanium heads are some of the best on the market. They will preform with the best of them. They are one of the few heads that I feel are worth 10 bucks apeice.

I agree with the comments already posted. I used these a couple of seasons back and they performed flawlessly on a muley and whitetail; all I did was replace the blades. For the next season, I tried Shockwaves....again I was not disappointed.
I now dabble on the simpler side....and shoot woodies from a longbow. Should I graduate to carbons or aluminums, I'll mount the Ti 100s on the business end without reservation.

I killed three deer with the same Ti-100 this year and couldn't be happier. Blade changes in between and they we're ready for more.
