quick question
well im going out to colorado this year for elk with the bow and i dont know if i should take (my) fred bear element set at 55 lbs or my cousins Mathews switchback xt set at 65 i can both pull them back pretty easily but the switchbakc is a little more difficult in my opinion i think i should tkae the XT becuase it has more of a chance killing an elk even if i put an "ok" shot on it with the element i would think to have to put a perfect shot on the elk to kill it

RE: quick question
shot placement is key as well as what you yourself feels isbetter to shoot. I love my XT, so I would say go with the XT. Also I would bring both bows, never know what could happen with one of them, better to be safe then sorry. Best of luck!!!!

RE: quick question
More important than bow poundage is which one do you shoot the best, that's the one I would choose, when adrenalin is pumping, nerves are on the line and a bull is buglin down your neck, you want the one you have the most confidence with be it your Bear or someone else's XT.....Personally, I'm betting your better with your own bow....? > ?

RE: quick question
also, i think that you would be able to hold your element at full draw loger, wich is a must have when hunting elk, IMO.

RE: quick question
i have an xt and love it but you have to use the bow that you are comfortable with

RE: quick question
Take both bows just incase. Make the primary bow the one you shoot best with. Draw weight isn't as important as shot placement. Good Luck
