Martin Bengal

I was just lookin around and noticed the Martin Bengal, its only got a $400 dollar price tag with seems like a really good deal compared to some of the outrageous prices people are paying these days. I have a martin cougar III that i bought a few years ago and it shoots great but im contemplating mabey buying a new bow and was just wondering if anyone has any experiance with this bow, how does it shoot, is it quite, how confortable is it to shoot. I now how helpfull you guys are but im just interested in this bow for the moment so no need for any other bow recomendations.

RE: Martin Bengal

I shot one about two months ago at a 20 yard indoor range. It was a little heavier pull than I normally shoot (70 lbs.), but four arrows went into a group about the size of nickel. The bow isn't quite as smooth as the high end Hoyts or Mathews, but it was short and light - seemed like a great value. The new Fred Bear Element is a similar bow at a similar price.
