Gobblers with a bow
 

How many of you have killed gobblers with a bow? I've killed two, both without a blind, but I've come home empty handed way more than I came home with a turkey.

I got a nice tom on opening day here in southern NY, so the focus of the rest of the season is to try fill my second tag with my first turkey with abow. I know that it can be frustrating anda challenge, but sometimes, that'sas much fun as the kill.
I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Not to rehijack..lol Yes, they were. A couple misses in the fall, never drawn on one in the spring, this is PA remember..;)

do hens count? All ive got was one hen with my first shot!

2 here as well. My first with a bow is still the largest merriam I have ever killed. 28-29 lbs... weighed him on a home scale..pix below.

9 inch beard and 1.5 inch spurs.. I had Pat Ely measure those out for me while he was out here in 04. Pat killed a nice one here as well. Pat pic at the bottom.. I hope these pix worked..
