I totally wimped out today...
 

I went to get some Maxima Hunters at the local BPS, and end up coming home with Redhead Carbon Maxx's instead. The guy convinced me I didn't need to get the "best," which I understand, but can't stop thinking about how much cooler a nocked Maxima would look than these eyesores. For $100 +, I should have made myself happy.

Hey man, looks aint everything. I can think of a lot of other arrows Id rather shoot than the maxima's, for the price. Why pay more for the front of center when you can put on a 125 grain tip instead of a 100grain and get alot higher FOC. I dunno, just seems like a way over priced sales gimmick.

Been there, done that. I know the pain your are going through. Do yourself a favor...go to the fridge...grab yourself a 6 pack and finish it off. You'll feel better in the morning.

LOL! I can't believe you let a BPS sales clerk actually talk you into buying their arrows! :(I'm sure the guy that talked you into them was patting himself on the back once you walked out? :D

I agree with Il-Cornfed. Are they Carbon Fury? My brother bought some of those(he's just getting started) and they are really durable. He has gone on a few different 3D shoots and has hit trees, rocks, and other stuff with them and they hold up great.

I really don't think it's a sales gimmick. My scores increased with FOC Maxima's last year when I switched to them. I know a few others who think the same thing, but to each his own.

Maybe sales gimmick wasnt the right phrase I was looking for. I just dont see paying $130 for bare shafts, I shoot gold tip pro hunters and I can get them for about $80 a dozen and for the price differance, Ill shoot gold tips all day long.

I tried the Maxima's last year and my scores did not improve despite the higher price.
