First Robin Hood and Pic Post
I am a very amateur archer, but have been shooting a little off and on (not seriously) for ten years.
I have damaged arrows before, but this is my first true robin hood. Its pretty cool except my arrow stash is dwindling even further. Last week at release, my finger flicked my ear, causing me to flinch and crash one into the top of the target shearing off the back 3 inches. So that's one arrow a week. I only did this at 25 yards, my yard won't allow much over 25 yards. This is the third week shooting my Tribute. As you can see, I'm really liking how it shoots! ![]() |

RE: First Robin Hood and Pic Post
Yeah,
Getting it was a short lived excitement after I realized another arrow was done for. The entry arrow was completely unharmed though, which I thought was cool. It was also my signal to switch to shooting groups of three on the smaller 3" bullseyes. I never would have done that with my self-tuned (un-tuned) 11 year old Alpine Sierra Magnum using my former improper grip and stance, so at least it gives me a feeling of progress and confidence heading into this fall. |
RE: First Robin Hood and Pic Post
congrats now go more arrows . You might want to shot at different spots in the future so you don't damage any more

RE: First Robin Hood and Pic Post
thats great. when I shot my first one I couldn't wait to shoot another so the next evening I did then reallity hit. this could get very exspensive. 4 good arrows down the tube I took the bow back to the pro shop told him there was something wrong with it then showed him the 2 robin hoods. his reply was, did I want him to de-tune it.:D
keep up the good work |
