If people can say they "Harvest" a deer, then those of us that wish to can call them "Horns".

AMEN,... I feel the same way! I can't believe thefolks that don't like to call 'em "horns"? Politically correct yuppie part-time "hunters" would certainly prefer the term antlers. Us rednecks prefer the terms, horns, rack, bone, etc. ;):D

Good huntin'

Name calling, assumptions, and stereotypingaside,

It is a fact that antlers are unique to deer family mammals. Antlersare deciduous (shed).

Horns are permanent.

Antlers are to Horns as Deciduous Plants (plants that shed foliage) are to Evergreens. Personally, I wouldn't point at an Oak Tree and call it an Evergreen.

See, now I thought Bobco's original comment was a stab at one of us "meathunters" who always seem to shoot button bucks:D

Which I took no offense to anyhow. :D
