Are you sure the tip was screwed in good. It will be fine on a deer, it was you pulling it out that made it break, and it going in. It will be fine.

It's hard to say what happend. A tree can be pretty hard this time of year. You may have done it pulling the head out, or somthing else odd may have happend. Muzzys are great broadheads, but they are not industructable. I have bent them on rocks before. My point is, don't let one incident make you loose confidence. Of all the heads I have tested I still have found nothing better.

Don't blame the broadhead. It's rock solid and I don't use them. Angle of hit, assembly.... all kinds of things could have caused it.

Your right those heads are terrible! You should remove them from you arrows immiedietly and send them to...

That tree is as big around as an elk leg.....I have yet to see a BH that will defeat the leg bone of an elk......I wouldn't read too much into what happened.....I bet it would have blown through that deer IF you had hit him.....

I used to extensively test broadheads and you simply cannot get a better head. Either the tip was loose or this was a defective head (unusual). I number my heads as well as my arrows and have shot as many as 6 deer with the same head after changing blades. You can get other heads as good, but not better!

Like a lot of people have said, I can't explain what happened in your case, however, I will say that Muzzy makes one of the toughest heads out there.

i dont think it was pullin it out because it was already broke before i touche it, i just think it hit an extra hard tree and there is no way im switchin

No broad head is indestructable. Not Muzzy, G5, Simmons or Innerloc. All the toughest heads can be broken, bent, twisted and smashed. I do hope you never have this problem again. I've chipped the Trocar tip on mine a few times, that's about it. Muzzy is my number one head.

Happy Huntin'
