I, too, hope you feel better soon. I ran into a similar situation a few years ago. I had a bow blow up an cut my carbon arrow in half upon release. Luckily I was unharmed but it sure sent my adrenalin level on overload not to mention my anxiety to shoot for some time.

Here is to a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Sure looks like alot of the shaft made it by your hand before entry. Definatley could have been worse. What kind of poundage is your bow set to? Hope to see a updated picture in the future with bow in hand not arrow. Good luck!!
