water hole

I found a large trail leading to a water hole. Is there a certan time of the day when deer drink water. Or a time that is better to hunt this trail. Or do they drink just any time?

In AZ where there isn't much water the prime time for me has been from 4pm to dark. The animals will water all night in a full moon but usually we do well sitting near a hole just before the light fades. Seems that the woods just start coming alive with movement at this time. Good luck.

If it's been warm where you are, the evenings will be better. The deer have been bedded down all day during the warmth and when they get up they will be thirsty. Especially if it's been dry in your area like it has been here in southern Iowa.
