New Drenalin with Pics.
 

I got my Drenalin in this lastweek, when it came in I was shocked to see a mistake was made because I didn't order black limbs. I was going to send them back to be replaced with camo, but they have grown on me! I admit I wanted this bow to be a 3-D rig first,thenbe a back up bowif needed in hunting.So with the black limbs it fits right in on the 3-D course. I will order some camo limbs just for hunting, but I think she looks awesome in black, and she shoots even better. I will keep her at the shop whereI work at for customers tosee the black limb bow! lolHere are a few pics of here taken today along side of her sisters, the XT, and the Switchback!

lol, I had my little princess helping me take these pics. Today is her birthday she turns 4 and she is into pink everything. When grabing some towles I told her that we couldn't take any new ones outside and she requested that they were pink. She has her daddy wrapped around her finger, so the pics were taken with pink towles. Right now she is cute as a button but I dread the day when she turns from cute to beautiful as a teenager. lol Along with my 5 year old son she too has her own bow. She doesn't like guns much becuae of the loud bang but ifI or my wifepick upour bow most of the time she wants to shoot hers too. Some time this spring my wife and I want a nice formal family pic outsidebut with our bows in it.



Thanks the black limbs do look great, but what has blown me away is how well this bow shoots. In our shops 20 yard range I was shooting X's on a 5 spot within a matter of minutes after setting it up fully and a quick sight in. I haven't even paper tuned it yet because I will be putting on Winner Choice strings later this week for a final touch. To say I am inpressed is a understatement.

I like the black limbs too. That's a sweet looking bow. I'm sure she'll treat you well on the 3d course and in the woods.

Yeah those black limbs look good. My buddy jeff just got his Guardian in with the carbon fiber limbs, i really like them

I see two things wrong with your Mmmmmmmm.... Mmm... Mmmmmmmmmmm... bows, One, they don't belong on pink towels. You're not a Pink Towel kind of guy Idaho.[8D] TWO.... it's obvious but someone has to say it.... the rest is on the wrong side of the bow.[8D] Hope you enjoy your new toy.

Dave, your right about that! lol I am so far from that its not funny. But I am a good daddy and if little things like this make them happy I will be willing to take a good ribbing over my bows being on pink towels. Just so you know there are only a few perfect people in the world, and the rest are right handed. [8D]

Sweet man, they all look great. I have been debating over buying that Drenalin. Like you I already have several bows and really like the way my Switchback hunts. Let me know how you like it in a couple of months.

i am totally impressed with my dren.....i was blessed with only being 5' 7" with a 27 inch draw with a d loop and cranked all the way down out of the box i was shooting 287-288. im going to give up the d loop or try a shorter releaseand order a 27.5 cam that should get me up to the 290s

Being honest I am no way a rich man,as I am sure you know these rigs are by no means cheap. Fully set up without arrows, bow case and release they each would go for a bit over $1500 with tax new out the door of our bow shop that I work in. Of course I have top of the lineaccessories and winners choice bow strings and cables on them.If I didn't work part time in a bow shopwhere Iget rewards for being agood employee,in addition tostore credit too, there is no way I could afford four of these bows. I have a Mathews conquest 3 (indoor target bow only) that was at the shop when this picture was taken. I too realy do like my Switchback, it does everything that I need in a hunting bow. With that said the Drenalin is even better, it balances very very well in the hand. In additon to being fasterits also very accurate and is just as smooth IMO. Is it worth selling your switchback or XT to get the drenalin, well thats up to you. IMO no I would not sell either the SB or SBXT just to get the drenalin. But if money is no object then by all means get it. On the other hand if someone is looking to upgrade a older bow then I would spend the $30 to $60 extra (depending upon the shop) over the XT or origional SB. As time goes by I will let you know my opinion of this new Mathews. So far its has very much inpressed me. I can honestly look people in the eye and say its a better bow.

When the Drenalin first came out I wasn't that inpressed, to me it was just a lightweight Switchback. Then I stated shooting them at the shop and the more I shot the more I realy like them.Back in early February Ihad a slow day at the shop. Soa few customers/friends andI decided to realy put this new bow through the tests. I had my SB and XT for comparison as well as several otherXT's and another SB. First we tested all the bows for speed, we had 5 different arrows and shot them each 5 times with each arrow to get a average speed. Next we set up a Drenalin and my friend who is a shop shooter/competition shot it. His groups were incredable, as were the speeds of this new bow. I have posted these speeds before here in the bowhunting section.But I'll post them again for those who are interested and didn't see it before. All bowsare 30" DL and were set to 70-71 pounds.

Here is the pic of my friends group without a peep, and without being paper tuned at 20 yards.It was from this day that I started thinking man this realy is a great bow, and honesty its better than the switchback. I stole this pic off the mathews web site, his name there isOutbackJunkie if anyone is intrested in contacting him.He and his brother both bought Drenalins the following week.
