You need a new wardrobe. LOL No way am I spending your money. You got to do it yourself. Go play and shoot and have some fun. Depends on your style, short, long, target, hunting yada yada yada. You're going to get 10 different opinions here in 10 different replies and not one of them is right for you. My proshop let me shoot any bow I wanted to see what felt good. It took me two weeks to order. LOL

First off you should count your blessings and consider others that are less fortunate. Take Windwalker7 for example. Imagine the smile and appreciation if you were to plan a guided elk hunt and invite him along.

If a hunt is out of the question, perhaps getting him one of the latest and greatest bows would fit the bill.

You would be rewarded with knowing you provided this fellow hunter with something he might not otherwise obtain. Think about what that would mean to him.

Try not to be so selfish and give someone else a chance to enjoy that money that comes so easy to you.

There'll be other money you could spend on yourself but for right now sharing your bounty with a fellow hunter would be what is best.

Windwalker,

I wouldn't exactly say the money came easy to me. It came with a very heavy price, it is an inheritance left to me by my late grandfather. This is the man that introduced me to hunting, i plan to spend some portion of it outfitting myself with a new bow, release, arrows, etc. As far as the price range goes, i plan on spending no more than $1200, the rest well...im putting away to buy a house.

For $1200 I would purchase the setup I have now.

The 2007 bows just didn't do anything for me.

Read below.

I'm sorry. I didn't know. I was just trying to be funny.

I'd reccomend a trip to a proshop that carries several brands and spend a few hours seeing which one feels best.

If I were to spend a free $1200 on hunting - I think I would stick with my current bow and concentrate on better field time.
I'd get a new set of high end boots and coveralls, better climbing stand, better climbing harness, and better ground blinds. If there was any left, I'd start looking at decoys, a field dressing knife, quality dragging strap, and wool socks.
I intentionally left out arrows, broadheads, etc since those are expenses you would make with or without the extra money.
