Lumenoks in KS?

Has anyone heard anything about Kansas legalizing lumenoks this year? I know that they were illegal last year but didnt know if anything had changed...

From what i've heard, KDWP is expected to vote/pass the use of lighted nocks for the fall. But it sounds as if it'll go through. I hope so anyways!

There's a lot I don't know, butWHAT in the world would makeluminoks be considered illegal? They don't do anything except make your arrow more visibile in flight and assist in arrow recovery, right? Sorry, but making them illegal just doesn't make sense.

Exactly why they are changing the law...right now it is to vague and just says that you cannot use artificial light. Since lumenoks have come out and obviously do not assist/help in harvesting game they have decided to change the law

I was also wondering the same thing. I saw something aboutthe Wildlife and Parksvoting on it over a month ago in the Wichita Eagle. However, I haven't heard the results. Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.

Actually, right now, the law reads that you cannot have any electronic device attached to your arrow. It is a law that was not meant to prevent lighted nocks, but rather devices for poaching. I expect an exemption to be passed this year.
