RE: Can't beat a well tuned...
if only......lol ive tried my best at paper tuning, but i cant get it to tear right no matter what i try. all ive managed to do, is mess up where my bow was shooting awesome at. i figured it would shoot even better if it tore right when paper tuned, but ive given up. if i sight it in again, and the broadheads shoot the same, do i have anything to worry about?
i guess my question is, is paper tuning the do all end all of tuning your bow? is my bow considered "out of tune" if it doesnt tear correctly but shoots good and accurate groups? just wondering, not bashing on tuning at all either, i know nothing about it really,it obviously has its place, look at how your shooting!! what other methods did you/can i use to tune my bow other than paper tuning? |

RE: Can't beat a well tuned...
thanks alot for the link, very interesting. im just glad i wasnt condemned for not liking paper tune. i guess once i get my replacement WB pad, and reset the nocking point, and center of the WB, ill start from scratch as far as the tuning and sighting goes.
Ill rough sight it, shoot group of broadheads after group of field points. if they are together out to 35-40 yards and the shafts enter the target straight instead of fishtailing ill be satisfied. if anything looks wrong or out of tune with those tuning tests, ill definitely go through all those steps. Good thing i have a 2 month summer break coming up, looks like i might need it. |
