opinions on best way to dispatch turkey

In the most humane/expediant way if it doesn't expireafter bow/broadhead hit. I won't be trying any headshots so I figure it is possible to end up with a wounded bird that needs to be put down quickly and I don't think another arrow would be the trick. Suggestions please.

Well if the turkey is still running, all I can say is good luck. If he is just flopping Id do just like GMMAT said, boot on neck. If you try and grab them you better watch out for the spurs, they can sure do some damage. Im not sure if it will work on a turkey or not but I did grab a goose by the neck and threw it between my legs sqeezed and then did a twist and pull and off came the head, so if you want try that and let me know how it works.:D

Boot to the head kinda works as long as the ground isnt too soft otherwise you'll give them a headache. I havent heard of this but I think it makes sense, that you should obviously watch out for the broadhead as it may be lodged in the feathers or somthing and you dont want to end up cutting yourself as the birds tend to do alot of flopping around when you dispatch them. That being said my best way is to get a hold of its head and ring its neck hard and fast and make sure it breaks then drop it before you get a licking. Or could you bring a hatchet in a sheath with you? I havent tried this but I would imagine it would work. Hope these tips help and be carefull, those birds can put up one hell of a fight when theyre ...
