Default Question on the Trophy Ridge Sights

First i was wandering if anyone has shot them and what they thought of them?
And then i was wandering if the Matrix or if the Rhino is better?

BHB, I just (more or less) answered this in your other thread. Mine is a 5-pin Nitro Xtreme.

I don't use the Matrix or the Rhino. I've been using the Mantis V-drive and like it a lot. The only thing I would change is the pin size. I'd rather have a .019 pin than the standard .029. Other than that it is a solid performer.

I've had a Matrix, and it is a good sight too. I like the looks of the Rhino and have considered giving it a try, but didn't feel like changing from the Mantis.

I'm excited to see what the Outfitter X sights are like when they come out. They look like a good combination of the Matrix and Rhino with easy to replace pins.

i have the matrix guide sereis with .019 pins. i love it. but it gets kinda blurry after you shoot so many times. the pins seem to run together after a while.

I used to shoot the guide 5 pin. Solid build quality, like the vertical pin tech., but had pins breaking because they are to exposed on the back side. Had a buddy with the same problem, we both changed sights.

I also have the Matrix guide series with the .019 pins (3 pins). I really like it, I think it's real durable and the smaller pins have made me a little more accurate (I think). Sometimes in low light conditions, the smaller pins are harder to see (not as bright) than the larger pins on my other sights. When I turn the light on, they are of course plenty bright. I wonder if I had gotten the larger pins if I would need the light at all... Great sight anyway.

I really like the vertical pins, but I don't like the low light performance. Pins dissapear before shootingtime endsin the woods. They have those little glow sticks that are suppose to help. But they do nothing for me. I am looking for a new sight also. I am trying to find a shop that sells the Viper line of sights. I have heard good things about them, but would like to see one before I order it.

I had a Nitro Extreme and used the glow sticks for awhile. They lit the pins o.k. but they didn't last long and I didn't really care for them. I bought the light that screws into the housing and that is definitely the way to go. I use the light on my Rhino, also. It will get as bright as you need it. I've used it at low light hours and in a blind.

I love my Matrix 5 pin .019! I hear a bunch about broken fibers on these sights, but I have never had one break. I use the Nitro Lights because we can't use electronics in Idaho, and they work fine for me. I shoot every day with all of the usual drops and stepped on issues, and I can always count on the sight to stay more accurate than I am. When the time comes to replace the sight, then I will buy the same sight.
