Coyote question

Where I will be turkey hunting land owner has had problems with coyotes. He stated he has found 4 carcus torn to pieces. Now the question.
How do we hunt the and remove the coyote with out distrubing the turkeys routine just 4 weeks from opening day?

RE: Coyote question

On my property I shoot coyotes every chance I get, the Yotes will change the Turkeys patterns more then you will!

RE: Coyote question

Turkeys are adaptable enough to work around the predator calling and probably won't see you out there drawing a bow on a coyote anyway. I don't see a problem in my opinion.

RE: Coyote question

DNR was out to proprty this morning. Last statement made kill them all. The suggestion of poisoned bait pile was made. Were is the fun in that so Saturday 4 hunters and 12 coyotes is the match up. DNR counted 12 coyotes we have 10 on film. So let the fun begin!!!!!!!!

RE: Coyote question

If its legal in your state hunting them at night would be a good way to eradicate w/o disturbing the birds. Just get some predator calls and scope lights and enjoy the fun...

RE: Coyote question

My wife and myself went out to set up a few blinds a good distance from were we will be turk hunting. My wife got her first kill with a bow. Property owner has some photos will have sunday. And yes my wife is hooked she stated she will be out there saturday morning. Also after the kill glassed for some birds with luck so this may work.

RE: Coyote question

I shot two yotes a month ago. Not even 3 minutes later 13 turkeys walked by me. I even howled them in. So I would say that it wouldn't bother them at all.

RE: Coyote question

So the DNR suggested that you poison them?
I know they are considered a nuisance, but that's pretty crappy!![:'(]
