Broadhead for Hogs
I'm going to be in Florida for a job interview in a few weeks, and I have a chance to do some hog hunting with a friend down there on some private land. I've been where we are going before (long before I bought a bow), and it will be uncommon not to see those critters feasting under the feeders in full force. I was wondering what is a good broadhead to use on hogs that range between 75-200 lbs?

RE: Broadhead for Hogs
Same ones you use for deer.....Just shoot 'em quartering away so you can get in behind that armor plate. ;)
Oh, and good luck w/ the interview!!! |

I too use 100gr Muzzy's. This one killed a 200lb boar. It went through the tough shoulder shield, took out both lungs and was hanging out the other side when I found him 35 yds away. It tore the BH up pretty good but I don't mind a bit!

RE: Broadhead for Hogs
I'm pulling a Bear Instinct @ 65 lbs. If I get some Muzzy 100's, What is a good size arrow? I'm a relative novice, so any info would help tremendously.

RE: Broadhead for Hogs
Assuming you have an average draw length (27-29) or somewhere there abouts then a .400 spine should work about perfect. In a Gold Tip I would go with the 5575 in anEaston .400 would be good.
