RE: ross bows?
Ross only advertises in a couple of magazines to save money to pass on to the customer. I just got a CR331 and it is an awsome bow. Ross bows are everything that Mathews wants their bows to be at a much more reasonable price. My CR331 is rated at 305 IBO, mine is 29" 68lbs and shooting a 358 grain arrow it shoots 290. So at IBO settings Im sure it would shoot at least 305 and be smooth, quiet and vibration free doing it.

RE: ross bows?
They're great bows, no question.
Friday night I had a date, but before meeting up with her I had a little time to kill so I stopped by Sportsman's to shoot the bull with the archery techs. I walk back and he hands me a CR337 to play around with. First impression was it was heeeeaaaavy. Not the kind of bow I'd want to carry around for long periods of time. It was a bare bow too, no accessories. The machining was awesome, Ross' line of bows are real works of art. I didn't have time to set it up and shoot it, but the draw cycle was really smooth. About like my Allegiance with smooth mods. The wall was very solid and it didn't feel like it wanted jump forward if I creeped a little. They make an excellent product and had they had the Cardiacs in our shop when I bought my Allegiance, chances are I might be hunting with a Ross instead of a Bowtech this year. |
RE: ross bows?
Heavy???? The 337 weighs in at 4.4 pounds....I can't get Bowtech's website to load, so I don't know how much the Ally weighs, but I bet it's pretty close.....What does the Ally weigh??
|
RE: ross bows?
3.8 lbs.
I'm just telling you what I thought. The thing felt heavy to me. |
RE: ross bows?
Id been shooting an 05 allegiance beforeI bought my Ross, the 05's were pretty heavy, but the Ross CR331 and CR334 arent heavy at all and perfectly balanced. I like my bows to fall forward after the shot, and a 4 inch fuse axium is more than enough weight to do that nicely on mine. There new flatline suppresion systems are awsome to.
