Shot me some 3d today!
 

Well this was the second shoot i have been able to go to this year. The first one I shot really well scoring 325 pointsout of 432. Today i shot 290 out of 390 possible points. I hadnt missed a target yet this year, until the very last target today, but I'm not complaining. I have made a lot of improvements in my shooting from last year, and who knows if I keep it up i might get one of those shinny things. Anyway I just wanted to share something that happened today while shooting. I went to shot at this target and there was a sapling pretty close to covering the kill zone. When i releases i either pulled or the wind took the arrow and it hit the sapling and went right through it and into the target. only scored five points but i couldnt believe that my arrow went through the dead center of this little tree spliting it, and didnt mess up my arrow, blazers, or anything. The next shoot they had a big oak tree about an inch from the 10 ring, and i ended up skipping my arrow off the side of the tree and making an eight on that one. I went for the twelve instead of playing it safe and well just say i got lucky. Another cool thing they had was at the end of the shotthey had a steel target that had the vitals which were foam. It eneded up being a rabbit for the bowhunters league and the kill was about the size of a softball. Needless to say i broke an arrow...lolFor you missouri guys, if you're interested in a really challenging shoot that has a lot of obstacles to shoot around i'd suggest going to the Festus shoot. I had a blast. Just thought i would share my day with you guys.

Sounds awesome! Next year, I really hope to get into 3D pretty hot and heavy... I just couldn't manage it this year with the job switch and all the training I'm going through... There's a great shoot at Glenallen next week I really wanted to make, but I fly out of St. Louis that same afternoon.

I'll definitely be at the Festus shoot next year, as well as probably all those around the Perryville area.

Man, you guys are killing me with this talk of 3D. I haven't been able to shoot at all since the Harrisburg shoot because my bow, arrows, and sight are all still on order and haven't arrived yet. I hope in the next 2 weeks or so everything will be here so I can start blowing the rust off my game.

Good deal MO, I shot in two shoots yesterday and they were a blast. There was a little payoff in the first one and the second one wasn't quite as good, but still lots of fun. Keep up the good work.

I shot a 3-D yester day, what a blast. I shot OK. Once I get my 3-D arrows and a new stabilizer I should be set. My goal this year is to shoot the IL, ASA 3-D this year.

Yep sounds like it was a good time. Too bad I couldn't make it but I was having a little too much St. Patties day fun yesterday. Next weekend it will be on.:D

Are they having any more shoots there this year? Sounds like fun. I could make that trip.
