Epic vs Axis

I know alot of people shoot the Easton Axis' But does anyone have experience with the Easton Epic line? What are the main differences between the Axis and Epic?

Thanks
Jim

I've shot Epics with no problems at all.........they fly great and kill deer. I am sure the Axis would do the same. The Axis has a smaller shaft diameter and you could check the specs for the weight, and straightness at Easton's site.

I shot the axis shafts last year, I wasnt impressed. Arrow flight was good and also penetrated good. One thing I couldnt stand was that the nocks kept coming loose. Id try to take my arrow off the string and the arrow would come off but the nock would stay there.

I've been shooting Axis shafts for 3 years and love them. They are extremely durable and provide great penetration. I've bought about 4 dozen, the only time I experienced the problem that Passthru has is about after a year of shooting (literally 5 days a week and playing with my knocks a lot) the nobs on the knock wore down... but that's no fault of the arrow for sure.

I should say I did shoot a ton with them and lots of nock adjusting dwd2001. I know its not the arrows, I should have specified that I wasnt impressed with the nocks.

No problem man, I knew what you meant. They also don't work very well when your buddies play bumper arrows.:D

Not sure about the new ones, but the luminocks for axis shafts absolutly sucked also.

So far all I have used are the Easton Epics. I'm slinging about 30 arrows a day during the week and usually a lot more on the weekends. I have had no problems with the quality of the arrows whatsoever.
