Let-off rules for Idaho
I read in the Idaho F&G archery rules that a bow can't have any more than 65% let-off. I have a switchback at 80% let-off that I want to use in Idaho this year. Does anyone know if this rule changed or do I have to get a new cam? Thanks for the replies.......PaLuke

RE: Let-off rules for Idaho
i believe it was just bumped to 85..... Could be wrong here.
There are a few idaho boys with more knowledge than me that should be able to answer this. |
RE: Let-off rules for Idaho
It's been bumped to 85%, but there's some discussion about when that takes effect, this spring or this fall.

RE: Let-off rules for Idaho
Thanks for the replies. I didn't know I could get 65% with the cam that is on the Switchback. I'm planning on using my 55/75 Gold Tips with 125gr. G5 Montecs. My bow is set at 68#'s. Do you see any problems with this set-up for elk? Thanks to all again for the replies...........PaLuke

RE: Let-off rules for Idaho
It is 85% and 300 grains for the arrow. it doesn't matter for this spring as it never has for any spring general season hunt using archery gear. These rules have been in effect for archery only seasons, any weapon seasons any archery gear could be used. I beleive that this fall during the archery only seasons, the laws will be relaxed.........
