Unscented Sunscreen

What do you guys/gals use for sunscreen while hunting?

Do you put 1st sunscreen and then bug repellent or the other way around?

Thanks!

RB, Never have used sunscreen. I would think they would make one that is unscented. As far as bugs, alot of people recommend the thermocell (sp?)

No sunscreen here, either. I generally just wear a light cotton long sleeve shirt and roll the sleeves up for a bit if I get too warm. Our September season can range anywhere from mid-80's to low 100's.

As for bugs, thermacell is the way to go.

I'm in Northern California, so yeah sunburn is an issue; I wonder if camo paint have any sunblocking properties...;)

Trust me, camo paint has no sunblocking properties. I use thermacell for the bugs but have found no scentless sunscreen. Everything smells like coconut. I can get a burn if I am out for 15 minutes -- even on a cloudy day I can manage to get a little pink (natural born redhead) -- and I hunt in Texas where it was 80 plus during bow season last year. If you find a nonscented sunscreen I would LOVE to hear about it!!!

We have temps in the 80's and 90's (potentially) during our early bow season (2nd week of Sept.). I still just wear long sleeve shirts. I'm also typically hidden from the direct sunlight.....due to the foliage on the trees.

I think I'd trust covering up vs. trusting a product to TRULY be "scent free" (as in sunscreen). I'm not sure the people who make that stuff are aware of just how scent free it needs to be.
