RE: Anyone else name their stands?

we've got names for all ours... the only problem is everyone seems to call them something slightly different... so its not much help, it still takes us 5 min to figure out what the other guy is talking bout...

My personal favorite is the "Widow Maker" stand... its in an absolute awesome spot, but its in a hollowed out tree and requires the hunter to be a gymnist to get it... haha the first step is 6 ft off the ground.. then it gets worse...

The honey hole, 50 cent stand. Always a spike from it which we call half a buck hence 50 cent stand.
I have a pond on our farm that we call "The Honey Hole", it the spring and summer it's a great bass pond, and in the winter it's an AWESOME duck hunting pond. It's also pretty well hidden so you have to know it's there to find it!

I suppose the title of the thread should have been "Do any of you feel sorry for me?" rather than "Anyone else name their stands?"

RE: Anyone else name their stands?

I am very fortunate to have permission to some very good woods and land, and I have a great hunting buddy that we are the only 2 with permission to these places. We have names for all of the stands. Some are names that describe the area, some include the landowners names, and some are from different experiences in those stands. But they all have names. Here are some of them:

Monster stand
Big boy stand
Loyds south stand
Loyd's North stand
The "L"
The inside "L"
The Point
Creek stand
Silo stand
Inside south stand
Don's Inside
The Edge
Roby Stand
Merkles South Point
Merkle's Back corner
Harold's
State Line stand
Creek ground Blind
Buck Roar stand ( that is a new name from this season)
Marlin's South
Marlin's Corner

I know that I have forgot some, but that is some.
