RE: Best and Worst Changes in Hunting
Opps...
I guess if I started this, I should participate. Worst....Leases instead of handshakes for hunting permission. Best....nonhunters seeing the effectiveness of hunting as a wildlife management technique. |
RE: Best and Worst Changes in Hunting
For the good, tree stands and for the bad, high fence hunts.;)

RE: Best and Worst Changes in Hunting
It probably differs per area but the lease costs are essentially out of hand and only getting worse. We are killing our sport, IMO, because our youth will not have the opportunities and therefor develop other interests. Its different for us because we've tasted it and will work to scratch out a little bit of hunting.

RE: Best and Worst Changes in Hunting
I recall when mostland was not leased, it seem like people would come from long distance just to hunt an get a deer, with no concern for management of the herd. I have to say that is one good thing that came out of land leases.

RE: Best and Worst Changes in Hunting
The best I'd have to say herd management. It's a pain, but necessary. The worst, attitudes.
