Default Center Serving Question

ok heres the problem, the serving on my string broke somehow. it is that kind of plastic stuff, its pretty much heavy fishing line. my question is do i really need it? my ultranock is holding it on right now but i want to put a loop on cause i really dont like the ultranock. would it be ok if i just took it off completly and rubbed some wax on the string until i can take it somewhere to get it redone?

I wouldn't. get it fixed first, your nocking point (tie on or crimp) will not hold and you don't want to damage your string.

How would you have liked the string to break instead of the serving?

Get it fixed.
