Metal Loop. Use or Toss?
 

I picked up a couple metal string loops. Any thoughts on these?

i never used one..my buddy does..i dont know how id like to connecting a release to one..another thing is they gotta weigh a good bit more than a rope loop...probably killing speed pretty hard..for the price of string material to tie loops and how light and adjustable they are i dont think they can be beat...

I used one many years ago and it tore the hell out of my release. I would toss it if I were you. Just my .02.

Same here. Toss it.

They can wear on your release aid. They add alot of weight to the center of the string which can slow arrow speed. They can potentially damage cables and servings...

...and losing those darn little screws is a pain in the behind.

Ditto on the toss. I tried one several years ago and took it off the same day.
It will create a metal tinging soundwhen u release also. Not what u want a buck to hear.

I have a couple, they work fairly well but do cost a lot of speed because of the weight. Sort of a pain to get adjusted right for peep rotation as well. And you need the right type of release, they don't work with all releases.

String loops are cheaper and lighter, and they work;).

Toss it...into and envelope and mail it to me. I've been using them (actually the same one) for about eight years and have no complaints.

ive been using them as my 2 brothers since they came out( many years). it actually wears into a nice smooth fit on my release. once you tighten down on it it will put your peep in the same spot every time. as far as loosing speed cant be much and noise was never an issue. ive also used a string loop and it doesnt feel as solid a hook up on the release. both work just a matter of preference.

I would toss it and go with a string. There are really NO disadvantages to using a string loop.

Deffinetly toss it, string is cheaper, lighter, won't go through your hand if your bow string breaks.

Ive used an Ultra Noc for over a year and have seen very very little decrease in speed. They are great. And save on the string. I wouldnt trade mine for a string loop that woudl come untied or break athalf draw.

If you shoot a Hoyt it will beat the hell out of the camo finish on the TEC riser. I'd toss it.
