Anyone here hunted bear in WI?
 

Ive been inquiring about bear hunting in wisconsin.I want to find out what the hunts are like,the cost,and the quality of the hunt.Is the a particular guide service that really good.I want to stick one with my MATHEWS......

Well do you live in WI? Second if you have never applied for a bear tag. The average wait is 5 yrs. When you get one the hunting is awsome! Price I couldn't tell you. A sure bet for a bear though is Ontario. They have one of the highest bear numbers!

The average for northern WI is more like 8 years. That is where most of the bears are. The rest of the state is more like 5 years, but there aren't as many bears. My dad and brother hunted them before and got one. We got lots of bear pics over bait piles on the cameras. Only about 2 or 3 years until I draw.

i chased 2 bears on my atv at my cabin in jackson county but i have never hunted them

Well that sucks about having to wait to draw a tag.So what your sayin is that you cant buy a tag from an outfitter,or from someone who drew one because it wouldnt be transferable.well what about ontario,have you ever gone on a hunt there?whats the prices like. thanks for your info.......
