Home built Archery Rack
Hey Guys
I want to build an archery rack to hold 12 arrows and my bow. I have been searching through the internet to get some ideas, but I havent come up with much. Does anyone have any pictures of work that they have done. Any info or ideas would be appreciated Thanks |
RE: Home built Archery Rack
i plan to build one soon. i have it all planned out already. the backing of it is going to be in the shape on an arrowhead. towards the bottom of the arrowhead the bow ill be placed on a piece of wood that will fit the one side of my bow that it will be resting on. as for the arrows, i think that i will drill 6 holes on either side of the arrowhead and have them sticking out.
if that didnt make much sense PM me and i may be able to draw it out on the computer. good luck with the project! |

Still didn't get the picture posted ??
One of my thoughts is to get a pair ofelk sheds (matching and symetric would be best)and mount them both on a nice piece of wood. Then you have a couple of places to hang arrows, bows, rifles, etc. Never put this out on paper or photoshoped it so it could bea horrible idea. Let me photoshop it real quick and post here in a sec. |

Looks cool, but I don't think broadheads would work on your arrows with that setup.

There are a lot of things that have been made to display things. I once visited an excellent carvers museum by the name of Weathers in Ohio. Well worth the 8 bucks to get in. One thing that struck me was his ability to discard what he didn't feel fit the bill. To most of us that discarded item would have been a master piece.
Bottom line, start with some thing. You can always improve on it. As for myself I would make it as personal as possible. Using materials that meant something to me. Could be the tree that I first took a deer from orfasteners made from the heads used. It's yourlife, celebrate it! |

I made this back in the mid 80s for my first bow. The one on the top was my first bow. And i still have them both.
