Default JoDaviess County, IL

I m considering buying property in JoDaviess County IL. I am concerned with the rack sizes. Does anyone have any feedback on the quality of deer and the deer density?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I honestly don't know if I've ever heard anyone ever talk about JoDaviess and speak of deer? It's always turkey, turkey, turkey in that county? Perhaps it's just a well kept secret for whitetail? I'll be curious to see what feedback this thread generates.

my buddy has a farm up there. From whatI understand, deer density is NOT an issue. I also read in a deer hunting book that Jo Daviess cty was ranked 7th among the top 10 counties in IL for Pope & Young entries. I have no firsthand knowledge though

What's land going for there per acre? Just curious how it compares price wise.
