Kudos to Crimson Talons

Ok,
I got some Talons a while ago and have been dying to shoot them. Today, i got out the block and a Talon and feild point to try out. First shot was amazing. both passthroughs but he Talon went farther and made an absolutely huge hole in the block. Ok i thought that looked good but what about durability and penetration. I put a solid block of foam up there infront of the target. The talon went all the way through both and landed 30 yards behind the target with a huge hole left in the foam and target. The feild tip stopped in the foam. so i thought the blade have got to be chewed up and they were as if they had just come out of the box except for lack of sharpness due to the target and foam. i would just like everyone else to know they are great BH's at the range but i will have to try them on a deer.

No offence but I think they are junk. My friend shot them and every time he hit a deer the blade was destroyed.

I have had three pass throughs, all mature bucks over 250 lbs. Two of them had a chunk of lung hanging out the other side. I am probably part of the disposable generation, but all of my "deer shot" blades are one time use. I don't have the time or desire to resharpen them.

i have heard the same and i will use strykers this year as my BH
