RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
It's a cheap and fast jig but in my humble opinion there are MUCH better choices available. I would rather have the Bitz for the ultimate in quality and precision or even the Grayling which is simply a inexpensive version of the Bitz. To each his own

RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
Scoobiedoo, I cant tell you nothing about the Arizona EZ Fletcher, But I can tell you I use a Bitz that came from the old Bear plant in Grayling, Befor they moved to Florida, and it does as good a Job today as when I got it 20 something years ago. No telling how many Arrows if fletched befor I got it!!!

RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
I've got 2 EZ (both are straight) fletchers and I think they are great for vanes. I coat mine with bow wax, to keep the glue from sticking to it. Also after I put the cap on it (while it's drying). I turn the arrow upside down (nock up). I do this because if the glue drips down the arm, to where it pivits, it'll glue it together. This happened to me and I sent it back to the company and they replaced it (good customer service). I can do a 1/2 dozen arrows in a half hour with the two I have.
I don't really like this jig for feathers as they are difficult to get loaded into the arms, and because of the curve of the feather, they don't want to stay in the arm (at the ends). The Bitz is a great jig for both but you have to do each feather or vane, so it takes longer. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Have fun. |
RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
I use it no problems here. I pull my arrow out a little early so I can wife off the acess glue before it sets in completely. Works out good that way becuase I rub it along the fletching to make a tighter bond.

RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
Its a great little tool. I use the gel type glue so that I dont have the run off problem.

RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
I LOVE MY FLETCHER, WHEN I NEED TO REPAIR OR JUST WANT TO CHAGE COLORS I CAN DO IT. NO MORE WAITING TILL I GET A 1/2 OR SO THEN MAKE THE TRIP TO THE PRO SHOP. I HAVE HAD MINE FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS AND LOVE IT.
GOOD HUNTING. |

RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
I bought one years ago, used it twice, and sent it back. Didn't care for it much. Bought a Bitz and am still using it.

RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?

|
RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
I bought one a couple years ago and it works great . They had them on sale at Gander Mt last year so I bought another one as a backup .

RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
I have both the bitz and the arizona, I pretty much just use the bitz for specialty things now, like flu flu or four feather fletching, the rest I use the arizona, it is so much quicker, and it does a nice job.

RE: Arizona EZ Fletcher - Any good?
EZ Fletch for me, too. Quick, simple, does the job just fine. I'm sure there are better jigs that do better jobs but the EZF does plenty good enough.
