Default Pics of broadhead wounded doe healed up

Friend of mine got a pic of this girl back in the season that someone had wounded. Got another pic of her last week healed up pretty nicely.

That first pic looks like more than a broadhead wound. I would say she had a tangle with a car or a fence.

He knew the guy that shot her. Quartering away, doe ducked, shot went high.

It sure left a nasty wound, but it has healed up nicely. Those deer are tuff critters. A couple of years ago I had a doe around my house that had her leg broken around the ankle. At first the other deer picked on her and pushed her away from my feeder. Little by little the leg healed but you could see some swelling. Then come spring time she moved around fine and she would even do some pushing around.

Yeah, I'd definately call it a gun or a fence. It looks larger than a broahead.

You gotta remember how tightly stretched that skin probably was as she flexed to spring away... a razor-sharp broadhead splitting that skin and the tension on both sides would make a heckuva split.

Glad to see she's healed up so nicely; she looks like she's puttin' on some good weight for the winter, too.
