1st turkey hunt with a bow......
 
like subject says, done plenty of turkeys. Just not with a bow, any tips or tricks?

ya im going to turkey hunt for my first time this year and going with my bow.

Try to draw when his back is turned to you with his fan spread. Otherwise it is very tough to get to full draw without being seen.

The key to getting that Tom to approach and then turn his back to ya is placing your decoy no more than 15 yards and ALWAYS facing your blind. This will force the Gobbler into the perfect shooting postion as he faces the intruder Jake beak to beak. You already know how to effectively turkey hunt so the only thing you really need is a bow stand/bow stake and a comfortable chair for your ground blind. Best of luck to ya this Spring. Here are also some shot placements for a bow shot since I'm sure you're used to blasting them in the head with the scattergun.
