Piebald drawing

How would you like to see this walk under your tree? I just had two snow days off from school, and this is what I did with my time. I'm open for critiques. Someone on another forum told me thebranches on the right shouldn't be as perfect as they appear on the drawing.

thanks. I have been needing to finish a drawing to enter in the wildlife art division of our state taxidermy competition, and this turned out to be the one.

Looks great. I do see what the guy was saying about the tree it looks so accurate it does look a little to simaliar all the leaves and branches are to alike. Not to belittle your drawing it looks great and by far better then anything i could do and then the face looks a little elongated for its width just a tiny bit out of proportion if you can see what i see. but it does look really good nice work.

Nina - very nice job - I'm impressed.

You asked for a critique and I noticed no one offered one.

The deer is very well done. You can tell you spent most of your time on that aspect of your drawing - and yes I like it too.

I also like the attention to detail on the ground.

The leaves on the trees however are two dimensional, and while everything else in the drawing looks like realism - these leaves donot. I'm sure you know that sometimes in folk art - idealistic representations of nature are perfectly acceptable - however, when combined with the very detailed depiction of your subject, I'm not sure it works.

I've seen your posts before - butI've not seen your other drawings - Keep up the great work.

Looks very good! My only suggestion has already been mentioned and that was to add leaves at differnet angles. Generally you won't be able to see the veins on every leaf. I still agree, it looks awesome!
