Draw wieght?

Hey guys, This has been probably posted before but i was just curious to see what some peoples draw wieghts are. I know people that have 80lb and some people have 40lbs, just curious. Me myself, i am at 60 when i pulled back yesturday but i am might tune it up to 65 or 70 next week.

I'm pulling 60#. You need a draw weight the is comfortable to pull back. It may be easy when you are just practicing but when theres a trophy buck in your sights and its really cold out that weight may not be so easy to pull. 60# is more than enough to kill big came in North America.

I'm 5'10" and 175 lbs and using a 62 lb compound and a 55 lb longbow. (Don't hunt with the longbow 'cause I'm not accurate enough yet.)

My daughter, 4'8" (almost) and 75 lbs (almost) got her first deer the day after christmas with a 28 lb compound. (There is no minimum draw weight in Michigan.) This is about the most she can use at her size.

Shot placement is the key. Nothing wrong with a fast, powerful bow if you can handle it effectively, but shot placement it still the key.

I shoot a 60# bear bow and am working on being able to hold it for 2 min. Unfortunatly it only has about a 40% let off.

Id really like to get a 70 or 80#er in a couple years
