We just seen the start of it out here in Nebraska. I can tell you that it hasn't snowed that hard here for awhile. It only snowed for a little bit but the flakes were large and comming down like crazy. I think we got 4-5 inches in two hours.

We have gotten about 4-6" in town an topof about the same amount that was on the ground before the storm started, NWS has issued a Blizzard Warning for our area. I measured 10" out in the garden area about two hours ago.

They are expecting an additional 12-16" today, with the possibilty of another 4-5" overnight stopping around 7am tomorrow morning. The heavy stuff is just a few hours away at this point.

The plows are running 12 hour shifts around the clock, but within minutes the wind putsthe snow right back on the roads. Winds of 15-20 with gusts to40 has made some bad drifts.

Sure am glad I have a monster snow blower! With >2300 sq ft of driveway, shoveling would probably kill me.[8D]

I think the worst of it will pass south of us. I'm right on Lake Michigan and all the lake effect snow should be more in the southern counties.

In the Buffalo area, we recieved about 60" ..... looks like we are going to get another 18" or so ..... we have already had 8 snow days off from school. Being the Principal, it sounds like a good deal, but most of those days I spent plowing, snowblowing, and shoveling. I have been wanting to get some wabbit hunting in, but there has been no time.....

...I really need to kill something ..... oh look, the neigbors cat!

My School here in Kenosha sits on the Lake and we're supposed to be getting a ton of Lake Effect Snow on top of the storm thats already moving through. Last I heard we were supposed to get between 4-8inches.
