Default Dented FMJ, what!?

So I was shooting my 5-spot round tonight and after the first 50 or so arrows I pulled one arrow out and it just felt funny, like it was dented. I look and sure enough, both sides of the arrow are dented. The arrow is flying fine, however, I've only been shooting 5-spot, no groups. It hasn't struck anything harder than my Morrell Yellow Jacket target, yet its dented.

Any idea what may have happened? I'm not comfortable continuing shooting this arrow. I'll also send the pictures into Easton to see what they say, but I thought I would get your opinions on it as well.

I dunno, but I've had a couple unexplained "dents" in my ACC's of late as well. I assumed I hit something in the wall......You hit something for sure....somewhere. Those just don't dent on their own.

Have you ever lost an insert in your target? This could cause those dents.

I have, but it was on the opposite side of the target from where I pulled this one out.

I lost the insert on the left, I pulled this one out of the right. I wouldn't think an insert would float over to the opposite side? Maybe?

u say that you pulled the arrow outta the right when you noticed it, but it might of been a shot or two before you noticed...

That very well could be, but would an insert have dented both sides of the arrow?
