RE: double bull
Jeff (GMMAT) and I just got off the phone in regards to this. I don't have a DB, Jeff does and could elaborate more. I'm headed to KS to video for DB and RVGC and then off to NC for the same with Jeff, I'll have to practice prior to heading out and Jeff and I were just talking about ideal chairs etc...I look forward to what he has to say and others.

RE: double bull
Thats the same seat I got with my Double Bull T5 along with a ground bow holder , nice package deal .
You should be just fine with that seat and if you are thinking about getting the Matrix , talk to gregholland. :) gregs DB Pimp Daddy :D |
RE: double bull
What Rob is referring to is a conversation we had, last night. What most people overlook when outfitting their setup is the HEIGHT of the seat. You don't want to be contorting to get off a shot in your blind. I tried the BD seat.....TOO HIGH (I'm 6'1"). I tried a NUMBER of different options until I settled with an old tri-fold that we picked up at a PGA event. it's the perfect height.
I've got the Matrix.....and the opening(s) CAN be raised and lowered to help a bit. That could solve MOST chair height issues.....but not all (esp. too tall chair). Best bet is to get a few and practice. I tried 6 or so before I found one I liked. Good luck. |
RE: double bull
I cut a cushioned 5gallon bucket just less than half,
I also took rebar and fastened it to the underside so i could "stick" it in the ground. Its alot more stable! I'm 6'6" so I'm pretty much on the ground. I still prefer the stand though. |
