Kaz Away Drop Away - opinions

I'm considering getting this rest but sorta feel like it mightgive me that"crossbow" feel and that might take away from the hunting experience. Would it make you feel that way or no? Check out the video, it's an awesome rest otherwise.

Oh, and does someone know the difference between the "vital drop" and the "kaz away"? The link doesn't really say.

Ihave the older model Kaz , not sure what the difference is. I like it. You can turn your bow upside down and the arrow wont fall out. I dont know what ya mean about the crossbow feel?

The design looks rock solid. Very interesting concept.

I am in the market for a drop/fall away rest. The biggest obstacle I am running into is the weight. I don't want to add another 2lbs of machined steel onto my bow to only hold my arrow. I do just fine with standard two prong rest.

I will have to look at this one in the stores if I can find it.

I have one and love it. It's a little squirly getting tuned at first, and there's no microadjustments, but that goes to weight savings actually. But once tuned it's rock solid and reliable.

The only thing I don't like about it is the slight noise it adds to the shot when the rest hits the shelf pad (it has it's own shelf rather than using the riser shelf to hold the prongs closed). Just a little tiny thump.

Trembow,
Does yours have the foam on the shelf? I don't seem to notice the noise on mine.
