What would you do?
I have been to two pro shops in my area. Each one carried just one brand. The first had Jennings all at 400 dollars. The other one had Pearson.I'm a left hander and only had a few bows to try.I am considering buying a bow from Cabela's.The Golden Eagle Superhawk. It has a brace height of 9" axle to axle is 36"let off 75%.This will be my first compound.Does anyone shoot this type bow?I have read alot of threads and asked alot of questions on this forum and respect all your answers.I wish there were more pro shops in my area,so I could try alot of differant brands. The Jennings Buckmaster felt comfortable to pull back but the axle to axle was to short for a beginner like me.I have a 30 inch draw does that mean I should shoot 30 inch arrows?Thankyou

I would do my best to vistit a few more shops, even if you have to drive for some distance. I never recomend a new shooter buy from a catalog, you realy do need that personaly touch when getting started.

I agree w/ 5 shot. I just got my first bow & thankfully bought from a shop (Fin Fur Feather in Ashland, Oh.). I considered the internet, but changed my mind. They set everything up for me & spent over an hour explaining & helping pick out the correct accessories to go w/ my new bow. Having little experience, this is invaluable. They also have a range & took me to shoot the bow & help w/ proper form. I'd say especially for a beginner this is the only way to go. BTW I got a Bear Vapor 300 w/carbon arrows & love it.

RE: What would you do?
yep, on the bandwagon here - go to a different shop... you REALLY REALLY should shoot your first compound before you buy. You won't believe the differences between similar looking models.

PDQ 5oh, is that a really fast stang?
My best friend used to live up there in Ashland at the university, FIN FEATHER AND FUR is one the best shops I think I have been too. They seemed to have everything I was looking for, they were nice, I don't know, I just liked that place. We both moved to MO, have not found a place quite like it. It wasn't flashy, I don't know, I guess it was the attitude or something. And the gopher contest.
