Honey, you ain't seen nothing until you've seen one of my restorations of a faded silk garment or one of my guaranteed preserved wedding gowns. I charged twice the going rate and had to stay at night to catch up. I was the only drycleaner that used the same goodies the Smithsonian used to preserve the first ladies dresses. And to think, I used to bust dinks with an M16.[8D]

While you are talking ratchet straps........I hatem. They are noisey, take more time to use, and sometimes a pain to unhook. I prefer the cam lock straps like Lone Wolf and some other companies are starting to use. Oh yeah, I don't like the all black ones either.

There are those that will tell you there's nothing there.[8D] But I do know something about drycleaning. I was a neat freak about gowns and preservation. Before I'd touch them I'd wash and rinse my hands with baking soda and all that. I wouldn't do them until I changed filters, new fluid. No one would touch them except me. I used all the acid free boxes and unbleached muslim wrapsand tissues from the Smithsonian supplier in NY. When I finished it I demanded immediate pick up to remove it from a hostile envioronment of a cleaners or I took it home to the AC area. I had people come a long ways to give me their gowns. Depending on the gown, it might cost you some bucks.:D[8D]

I too would second the camo ones if you didn't want to spray the old ones. The only two color options I use for my straps are either black or camo. I believe wal-mart sells the camo ones and so does Dicks here in Maryland. I don't think that the black one stand out all that bad. They sure aren't as bad as blue or red.;)

I haven't noticed it matters. They can't see the red or the blue. The black contrast might be visible. I do use camo ones from wal-mart and they work fine. I replace them every other year. They also work well to tighten up you layered foam targets to get more use out of them and reduce pass-thru's

All good suggestions guys. I believe I may try the grey primer or look around for some TMA certified camo straps. I somehow just do not trust just any Wally world rated straps with my life. Thanks for all the replies guys.
