.22 cal pellets out of a bow?

I was reading through Eastman's Bowhunting Journal and come across an interesting ad, to say the least.

Apparently you can buy a device that mounts to your bow's (compound/recurve) riser and can propel a paintball or a .22 cal pellet.

I think its a neat idea but seems a bit pointless. What do you guys think?

Matt/PA had a pretty extensive thread on this over on AT, I'll see if I can find the link. It's added activity to use your bow in the offseason.

Found it, http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=392062&highlight=Matt%2FPA

I searched thinking this may have already been covered but it hadn't. I'd be interested in reading that link.

BTW, where did you come from?:)Welcome back!

I've seen that. I gotta try that sometime. Both paintball and pellet versions look sweet.
