Help!
Hey y'all!
I'm trying to complete a hunter's work book... I came across this question and have not been able to find an answer anywhere, I'm wondering if anyone might be able to point my in the right direction. The question is: What is the general effective range of an arrow in brush? Try as I might, this answer have aluded me. Thank you all so much for the help! ![]() -Jay |

RE: Help!
Thank you guys for your quick reply. I am not a bowhunter - I don't even own a bow, but I am trying to complete this workbook. Thank you VERY much for the answer! I've typed this into a search engine more times than I can count, apparently the reason I didn't find anything is because the answer is rather obvious. Thanks a lot guys!:D

RE: Help!
Shooting through brush just isn't an ethical shot to take on an animal that deserves good shot placment. I did have a hunter, this last season that made a 20 yd shot through a small hole in a cedar tree 19 yds from his stand and took a beautiful 4x6 163 incher. Generally it is just not good to shoot through brush though. There are too many variables, and the chance of making a bad shot. I personnally would hate to wound a good buck with a bad shot and have it run off with no bloodtrail and not find it because I decided to take a questionable shot through brush.

RE: Help!
a smart hunter would choose a stand so he would not have to shoot through the brush
