Took Davidmil hunting today
 

I've been trying to get Dave to go hunting most of the year. He's been so busydriving to New York getting his new house built that the only exercise he's received is 'windshield time'.

Since it was the last day of the hunting season, he decided to go with me today. That excessive 'windshield time' showed today when we walked into the woods. He wanted to park the trucks closer to where we were hunting so that he wouldn't have to walk too far. Then when I called him to tell him I was dragging a deer out, he was completely out of breath carrying his gear up a hill.

Bless his soul, he offered to help me drag. I didn't want him exerting himself, so I told him I had it under control and to get the truck and drive it down closer. I dragged thatdeer about 200 yards and I was beat when I got to the truck. Dave has dragged many a deer out for me, but not hunting much this year sure did take a toll on his stamina.

Or maybe he's just getting OLD! :D:D :D

I don't beleive that, I've never seen David out of shape. Wait a minute, maybe it was just me out of shape makeing him look good.:DHe's a tough old guy trying to keep up with.

yeah, David gets winded from packing all that toilet paper to the woods[8D][8D]:D;) The deer get winded to[&:]Thanks for sharing this with us Len we needed some ammo for the fox hole.;)

I put a nice 18 yard shot on a nice management doe. It didn't go but 40-50 yards and luckily went towards the truck (up the hill).

I told Dave when we went in that I had a needy family thatwanted some meat. This will help feed them for the winter.

I'm surprised the COF hasn't responded yet. I guess he's working up one of those classic responses.;):D

Yeah yeah yeah... you guys YUK it up. I'll get my revenge.[8D] And Len, where did that new archery shop open up.[8D][8D] I told him I'd go, just point me in the direction of a tree. Duh, I saw nothing and he saw twelve. The tree he put me in was just about bare of bark. I think it's where he dumps all his visitors.[8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][8D] I did have a fox come by and watched him catch a mouse. And Mr. Woodpecker came by and knocked some holes in a tree. And that was it, but good to get out.

I started on the treadmill this morning. Dang I'm out of shape. I wasn't going to take the treadmill when I moved, but now I'm thinking I better.[&:] Maybe the weight machine too.

Dave I am a personel trainer, I charge 45.00 Dollars a session. I will have you in spandex long johns by opening day!!

My one client is 67 years old and will run most of you 20 somethings out the door!!!!

I must say that this is the FIRST time in all the years that I've know Dave that he's been 'out of shape.' He's usually rushing to gut the deer and has a rope around it and dragging it out before you can get out of your stand. I've seen him do it in 100 degree weather and 10 degree weather.

It just surprised me that he had unknowingly let himself slack. But I know Dave, he'll be back in shape in no time. Just look at that pose. Isn't that justpure energy in action!:D:D:D

I don't think it has anytrhing to do with the windshield time. I think it has to do with the fact that you have over 13,000 post on this forum
